Was いちー at Shān Kǒu Shí Táng a mag?
I tried the chicken at this dining place that I had been curious about since the neighboring restaurant was closed. The chicken was similar to the neighboring restaurant's "chicken nanban," using thigh meat and was very tender and juicy. It was easy to eat as it was in bite-sized fried pieces. This restaurant has been in business for 60 years, and it shows. Today, I noticed two women in the kitchen, and the service was excellent. I ordered the "oyakodon" which was delicious and satisfying. The seating and parking can be a bit challenging, but if you time it right, it's worth a visit in Nishito. On my second visit, I tried the daily special, which only came with two fried eggs and a small side dish. I wish there was bacon or sausages included. For my third visit, I decided to try the "oyakodon" in a larger size for an additional 220 yen. I couldn't finish the double portion, but it was delicious nonetheless. I will definitely be back again.

The katsu-don was very filling and delicious. However, I wished there was a bit more sauce. The interior of the restaurant was old-fashioned and had a lot of charm. The staff, a group of kind older ladies, made me feel at ease. They had acrylic barriers and signs asking customers to wear masks for COVID-19 prevention, and there was hand sanitizer at the entrance. Their prevention measures were thorough.
I'm sorry if my comment is similar to others, but this restaurant truly has a nostalgic Showa era atmosphere. Inside, there are many photos of Japan Air Self-Defense Force fighter jets. There are a few tables and tatami seating. The parking lot has space for three cars on the left side of the building. It is shared with a nearby shop called Kochibuki, so be careful not to mistake it. The tire stopper is labeled "Yamaguchi Shokudo". The prices have gone up a bit, but I still think it's on the affordable side. Although it's a diner, they also offer handmade soba, but I was drawn to their purpose-made ramen. It was a light ramen, maybe a tonkotsu ramen? It was a unique ramen. The noodles were straight noodles. The chashu was tender, but not the melt-in-your-mouth type. When it was brought to me, I was asked if I wanted garlic soy sauce added, so I requested it. It added a different flavor to the ramen. I was able to finish the soup as well, it was such a tasty meal. Thank you for the meal.
