A solid dining experience. The food was delicious, and the service was attentive. Prices were quite reasonable as well. The soft shell crab, while frozen, was well-prepared, though just a little... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Sakura Restaurant Sushi Bar:
I wouldn't shy away from this place, but it doesn't stand out in any significant way. Given its location in downtown St. Paul, you're likely to have to pay for parking as well. View all feedback.
If you're in search of an authentic Japanese restaurant in St. Paul that offers delightful food and drinks, this is the spot for you! The atmosphere is lovely, and the service is friendly and attentive. I thoroughly enjoyed both the food and the drinks. The location is also a major plus. With a diverse menu, there's plenty to explore, so you're sure to find something delicious to try! I'll definitely be returning and will recommend it to my friends!
We came in for a quick dinner before attending a concert at the Palace Theater. The service was impressive, and the food was enjoyable as well. While it wasn't anything extraordinary, we were certainly not disappointed.
The staff was fantastic! They were helpful and friendly, working together as a cohesive team. The shrimp tempura and salmon rolls were tasty, but smaller than expected. I really enjoyed the calamari, and the spicy mayo dressing had a wonderful flavor without being overly spicy. I was quite surprised by the low number of customers, as the community doesn't seem to have embraced the restaurant yet. This should be a wake-up call for management! They need to find out what patrons are looking for and how they feel about Sakura.
The first place I ever had sushi about 30 years ago when they were in Galtier) and still one of my favorites. The chefs are true pros. When you order Ama Ebi and they automatically include the heads, you know they?re the real deal. Probably been hereat least 75 times over the years, and I?ve never been disappointed.
Classic St Paul sushi spot an absolute staple of the downtown scene. A great location for a fancy dinner out, or a casual business lunch. We always look to Sakura for a pre wild game bite. Never disappoints.
