We were excited to try out Mama's Pizza due to the amount of positive reviews but unfortunately it wasn't for us. The pizza toppings were very generous and the staff took great care of us while waiting for our take out pizza. We felt though that the quantity of the toppings made it hard for the base/dough to shine. Also, due to the amount of toppings, the base wasn't as crispy with the exception of the edges. This pizza place is one of St. Paul's iconic restaurants. The crust is thin, the toppings are plentiful. People will fight over the corners. It is takeout only so just remember to keep your pizza boxes flat on your drive home.

This hidden gem in St. Paul offers amazing food that’s conveniently located near the capital and easily accessible. The service is quick and the staff are friendly. I had initially planned to eat only half of my lunch, but I ended up finishing the entire meal!
I traveled from Plymouth, MN, just for the best pizza! It has amazing flavor and great prices. This place is truly a fantastic business.
