The restaurant has an excellent location on the plaza. The service was attentive, and they offered refreshing draft beer. The walleye fingers were flaky and absolutely delicious. I enjoyed sipping on a cold beer while waiting outside for the long line at the Palace Theater to decrease. It’s the perfect way to enjoy the evening! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Loon Cafe St. Paul:
Went to use the bathroom at the only available bathroom at this bar, security came out yelling at us he’s calling the cops on us for using the bathroom, I no longer feel safe at the bar since the owner totally disregarded how we were treated and said that te security guard was purposely discriminating us. Give ur business else where! View all feedback.
Enjoy a meal and some quality time at Loon. While the menu is limited, it offers a variety of options to cater to different tastes, including several gluten-free dishes that are just as delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable, yet they focus on high-quality ingredients and their creative preparation. It’s also a fantastic spot for light bites and drinks, featuring inventive cocktails and a great selection of local brews on tap. Located in the historic Hamm building, it’s a short walk to the theater, sports events, and other attractions. The service is excellent, with friendly and knowledgeable staff who prioritize your experience. You won’t feel rushed, allowing you to truly enjoy your time with family and friends.
Charming little cafe in a lovely area! Our waitress was pleasant, and the service was quick. Although the menu was a bit limited, we both found dishes we enjoyed. The chili was bursting with flavor, and even though I don’t usually opt for chicken sandwiches, I really liked the Eight Ball Deluxe. The chicken was incredibly tender and juicy!
I visited this place for happy hour with a group and we ordered a range of drinks and food. Everyone loved their drinks, and I have to say the dry rub wings were my absolute favorite! They were juicy on the inside and had a crispy exterior. This would be a great spot for a night out with coworkers or a group of friends.
Located in the Historic Hamm Building, Loon Cafe St. Paul was a pleasant experience. We started off with some drinks including a Buddy's Grape Soda, a draft Stella Artois, and the famous Grape Ape. We followed up the drinks with some food. We had an amazingLoon Addict Special which is a chicken sandwich with mushrooms, Swiss cheese, mayo and lettuce on an onion bun. We also sharedan order of Walley Fingers which was served with jalapeño tartar sauce which offered hints of heat but was not too overwhelmingand fries with their special sauce. The food was incredible and the service was equally as good. Our waitress was top notch andwe were great by the bartender the moment we stepped in the door. Stop in the next time you are in the area.
We did not plan to eat here, but everything else was closed on Saturday for lunch. So glad we wandered in! The food was incredible, the customer service was prompt, and everyone was very friendly. They have a really great patio that is typically in the shade.
