Unfortunately, we were seated close a very large group who were drinking and were very loud. We therefore had to speak above their voices in order to have our own conversation View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Kincaid's St. Paul:
Asked for a window table three weeks prior to scheduled dinner. Arrived 10 min early. We were seated in the back of the restaurant next to a table of 8. Very loud. Long time patron of Kincaids but have been disappointed in recent visits. View all feedback.
Great meal. Mahi Mahi hrlled to perfection Server attentive but not intrusive
Food and ambiance were great. They were clearly under staffed. Waitress was kind, but very few visits from her. I was out of my soda for more than 15min 2 times. I ordered a coffee that never came with my desert and it was on my tab. Waitress was embarrassed when I pointed it that out. In this day and age, everyone knows good help is hard to find, but sadly I guess the standard has been lowered for a $200+ dinner at Kincaid's.
We had a fantastic experience with our waitress and the service was excellent. However, there was one drawback. It was my stepson's birthday and when our waitress asked what he wanted for dessert, he chose the chocolate cake. Unfortunately, she returned and informed us that there were only two complimentary dessert options for birthdays - creme brulee and another option that I didn't catch. It was disappointing to learn that his choice of cake was not included as a complimentary option, especially considering there was only a small price difference between the cake and creme brulee. In the end, we paid for the cake and our dinner. Despite spending over $200 at the restaurant that night, this dessert issue will stick in our memories for a long time. It's frustrating when customer service falls short in such small ways. When the cake arrived, we asked for a candle but the person who brought it seemed bothered and simply lit the candle without a greeting or well wishes. It felt like a missed opportunity for a simple gesture like saying Happy Birthday. The restaurant wasn't busy, so it wouldn't have taken much time to make that small moment special.
This is our favorite restaurant when in St Paul. Outstanding food and service!
We had a fantastic meal with outstanding service. Whether you choose the sea bass, risotto, or the pork chop, you can't go wrong. The wine prices were reasonable too.
