What Jason Bennett doesn't like about Riverside Cafe:
Riverside cafe is a bar/grill on the St Marks River. It?s more of a bar than it is a restaurant. My son and I dined here on an early Friday evening. Good food and good service. They were out of red fish but grouper was good. You can walk out on the docks after dinner for a view of the river. Neat watching the boats go by as you dine.
Tony and I made it to St Mark's, FL today at 12:30 and stopped at Riverside Cafe for lunch. We sat at the tables lining the decking walls. It was very lovely, warm with a breeze and watching boats go by. The birds were watching us waiting for someone anyone to drop something. Tony had a draft beer, I went with Iced Tea half/half w Lemon and Lime. We opted for the Crab Fritters with a chipotle mayo dipping sauce and the River Burger with fries. The food we shared and it was very good! Waitress told us about live music on Friday and Saturday nights. Definitely recommend to anyone in the area!!
Great lunch spot. Melissa is an excellent server. I expected good food, but ended up having one of my top 10 burgers of all time. The River Burger sounded good, but was way better than expected. Nice heat from the jalapenos and then the rest is close to a patty melt . Highly recommended.

I would eat here again but I certainly wouldn?t go out of the way. The views were nice but again, it was more of a bar than a grill so I?d look more for a place with less of the tavern environment but that?s just me.
