Delicious, they have great coffee and fruit smoothies for a decent price. My husband has Celiac and they actually have pastries for him as well. He has eaten his Gluten-free cinnamon roll and his word were F- AMAZING! View all feedback.
What E E doesn't like about Hazel's Coffee And Roasting Company:
At the time we were looking, they had the closest thing to a coffee float we could find in town. Other places were closed or didn’t have anything similar. The coffees we ordered weren’t too bad, but our small kids wanted water. They charged us almost $5 for two cups of tap water which I thought was a little much. I personally liked the old place at Frederick and Woodbine better than the new location. The atmosphere w... View all feedback.
I've always enjoyed their coolers, which are made with espresso, ice cream, ice, and milk, plus any flavor you choose. However, I was really disappointed during my last visit. I watched as they prepared mine using pre-brewed coffee, ice cream, and milk, then blended it with a type of shake blender. I basically paid $6 for a very light coffee-flavored shake that hardly had any coffee taste at all. I'm really let down and won't be ordering one again.

Meal Type: Breakfast Price Range: $1–10 I had a wonderful breakfast at this restaurant, and I highly recommend it! The food was impressive, earning a solid 4 out of 5. The standout dishes for me were the Cinnamon Roll and the Pecan Sticky Roll, both of which were delightful. They also offer a variety of muffins and gluten-free cinnamon rolls that cater to different tastes. The service was excellent, receiving a perfect score of 5. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was equally inviting, also deserving a score of 5. The overall vibe was warm and cozy, making it a great place to start your day. In summary, if you’re looking for a tasty breakfast spot that won’t break the bank, this place is definitely worth a visit!
We visited Hazels with our kids during our trip to town. The bagel and croissant sandwiches were only slightly warm, but they had a really good flavor. The coffee was excellent, but unfortunately, the staff didn’t make much effort in terms of customer service, which was disappointing given the warm and fun atmosphere. On the bright side, the variety of interesting mugs and shirts helped offset the lackluster service, and the quality of the coffee is why I rated it higher overall. Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 5.
I visited this charming little coffee shop while in town for work, and I was really impressed. The food was fantastic—I had a club sandwich, a cup of broccoli cheddar soup, and a scone. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. I especially loved the local goods they had for sale, and they even sell their coffee beans! I highly recommend this place and look forward to returning the next time I'm in St. Joseph!
