York Bistro + Pub - Saint John

Situated in the Hilton, the location is superb on the water front. Beautiful boardwalk to walk/run on with the best of views. The décor is weak, and a shame the hotel owners have not spent more on the design and atmosphere to be more 'cool'. The bar staff were very friendly, the cocktails and beers good, the house wine OK. HH certain times each week (5-6).

I hope the chef finds a new place to cook food because even the simplest of things ( caesar salad was terrible. We were a groupe of 6 and no one had anything that required a good rating ... pizza ... terrible ... salad terrible... lobster roll really terrible ... dirty glasses for the wine was an extra thumb down ... My mistake was to eat here many great restaurants in Saint John no reason to spend a penny here !

Great little restaurant in the Hilton Saint John. Service is a little slow but the food is great. Worth checking out.

Attached to Hilton. Decent fish cake (but there was literally only one which I was surprised at). Beet salad had shaved / spiralized beets and was beautiful to look at but impractical to eat (difficult to mix together), pretty tasty and healthy.

We had cocktails in the bar one night before dinner. Friendly service. Well made drinks. This serves as the breakfast room for the hotel. They will try to seat you in the rear, near the buffet, but we preferred to sit near the windows for the view.Service at breakfast was friendly and prompt.
