The treats are delicious. My favorites are the Apple Galette and the Caramel Bomb.
I'm not one to write trip advisor reviews often but I had to for my experience today. First off let me put it out there that my girlfriend and I both work in the food service industry, so we have a certain compassion when it comes to food service in general and quality control. But today we felt ripped off, we stopped in at 10:30 or so this morning, for most bakers this would be late in the day. I've baked myself for restaurants and you usually start at 4am at the latest, but I'm side tracking. The issue was that we had bought our food, I could tell instantly it's store bought, like food retailers mass production croissants, cup cakes, and bread and when we went out to have our croissants the kicker was both of our pastries were frozen in the center, my issue was she physically put them in bags for us and knew they were frozen still so when we took a bite we literally stopped by force. This is mainly just us wanting to let others know our experience we just felt taken advantage of for our 4 pastries it costed $14.65 and the crossiant them self had been cut in halved.
Their sourdough bread is made the old fashioned way, so delicious and healthy. Their other breads and rolls are also organic and so very good.
I absolutely love this place! Whenever I’m in the uptown area, I always make sure to stop by for some delicious baked goods. The service is outstanding as well!
I can never visit Saint John without stopping by the market, especially for the desserts at the Baking Stone. It's difficult to choose a favorite because everything I've tried has been absolutely amazing. If I had to select just one, I would say their brownies are the best I've ever had—and I've tried brownies from many different places!
