Ta-ke Sushi - Saint John

I had an excellent sushi experience! There are plenty of options available for those with celiac disease, but be sure to specify that you need gluten-free, as there can be some language differences—just asking for gluten-free may not be enough because they recognize gluten. They were also kind enough to make some non-celiac options gluten-free for us!

I was a bit disappointed with my experience. The only sushi options available to me were the vegetarian ones. The server didn't have much knowledge about gluten-free options, so the chef came out to speak with me, but I still didn't feel reassured. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

The staff was knowledgeable, and they offered gluten-free soy sauce.

The sushi here is outstanding! They offer a variety of options for those with celiac disease, but be sure to specify that you need gluten-free (use the label "gluten-free" instead of "celiac," as they are aware of gluten). Additionally, they have thoughtfully prepared some non-celiac items as gluten-free for us!
