The food was excellent, service was good -butthis was a Holiday Party's nights Thursday Dec 22-2016 Too many guys, too loud !
French translation will follow.Went to this well reviewed restaurant with my wife and mother in law, we had a pleasant experience and were very well received. We went there at about 6:30PM on a Thursday.Service:Service was very polite, prompt and classy. Waiters are well dressed, and they keep coming back for water refills. After our order, it didn't even take 5 minutes for the soup to arrive. Every waiter pitches in, so if one saw our plates were empty, she would take them away, another one served the meals. It felt like a good team spirit. They brought warm baguette bread before meals arrived, and offered more promptly when we finished it.Menu and Meals:The menu is fancy, slightly pricey with most meals in the 19-30$ bracket. The choices are varied and have great flavor combinations. We ordered the Portuguese Grilled Octopus as an entree, it was incredibly delicious, I definitely recommend it.I had the Red Snapper with Apple and Curcuma sauce. The fish was cooked to perfection, the sauce was bright yellow. The flavors combined well together, the apples giving that light sweetness finish. The sides (rice and vegetables) were perfectly cooked, delicious. My wife had the Duck Roast with Cranberries and Honey. It's a rolled duck roast that is then cut in small round portions. This was a little less successful for us. There was a layer of fat around each portion. At first you think maybe it can be eaten, but it's just fat. The duck tasted almost like liver, which is fine, but there were some stringy parts, so it was hard to chew. The side on the plate was a savory pumpkin tatin pie, which was interesting, I liked it.My mother in law had the Veal Flank Steak with green onion cream sauce. The dish was fine by her admission, but to me, the plate looked boring/thrown together. While our plates were well presented.. hers looked like a cheap diner had destroyed the veal and threw some fries on the side. Presentation wise, this plate needs to be fully revamped.Overall:The decor is amazing, the waiters were great, we had a nice U-shaped banquette, the food was still very good for the most part, I recommend this restaurant for a good diner.-----Je suis aller a ce restaurant avec ma femme et ma belle-mère, nous avons eu une experience plaisante, nous avons été bien reçu.
It was last summer when we had supper here and I still remember how good the food was! A pleasant surprise from a humble place of St-Jérôme---very good service and good food.
This restaurant is the top choice in the region. The food, especially the steak and pommes, is outstanding. The service is extremely polite. If you're looking for a great place to dine in Les Laurentides, this is the one.
