Pays Basque is a very meaty region and this was the only place, in a 2 week holiday, that I managed to get a vegetarian lunch that WAS NOT 97% lettuce. There was lettuce but not out of proportion to other ingredients. View all feedback.
What Catherine Ledoux doesn't like about Brasserie:
Not good. Eat somewhere, but here. Service good, but food terrible. I should have known that a place was a bad sign with someone who's out there, but we're hungry. And still after. View all feedback.
Looks like a tourist trapBut I had a nice plate of cheese, with espresso and a basket of bread for 6Euros NOTE: I was stood at the bar.
They were open on Monday! Great pizza, especially the smoked salmon one. Crust was perfect. The waiter was friendly even with our limited French.
If you are two people visiting; order one mussels in curry and one Paella. Woohoo...you will thank me for it!
Ate here both nights during our 2 night stay. Service very good from a waitress who spoke excellent English. Mussels and steak the first night and paella and pork loin the second. Both highly enjoyable and would recommend. Plus the wine was good all enjoyed in a nice location on the beach.
Stopped in for lunch one sunny day. Very pleasant lady who served us was very patient with my bad French. Great setting on the promenade overlooking the beach and bay.We had Mussels with Roqueforte and Cod Espangnole. Both were excellent. Prices considering the view were very fine and better than the other restaurants right around it. Would definitely return.
