This is one of the few consistently good coffee shops unlike other coffee shops that wow you once and then you never get the same taste again. Harken’s pourovers, flat whites, and tea lattes are created at a high level. The owner knows so much about coffee and shares his knowledge with as much detail as you want and he always recommends great beans. You can definitely recommend this place to friends without caveats!

I began learning all about coffee because of Harken’s subscription. Great value for a fun exploration of different beans from all over, curated and roasted by brilliant coffee Jedis. I now always keep a box of Harken beans ready at home. I highly recommend Kochere, Ethiopia.Harken’s design details are also worth fawning over. The branding and packaging, designed by Studio Faculty, is top-notch allowing everybody to proudly display their beans. If you have the pleasure of visiting in store, you will get to marvel the unique interior which is topped with Noguchi lights (an ode to Japantown? and an incredible Celsia dry floral piece above the bar.I love this place.

Really cool coffee shop, nice open bar concept to encourage you to ask questions about the coffee and watch the process of making the drinks. I liked their blue coffee drink

Wow! We traveled from the states to serve around the Eastside of Vancouver when we stumbled upon Harken. We could not have been more impressed with the aesthetic and the flavor of the food and pastries. I highly recommend the biscuit. Best one I’ve ever had! Make sure you get it with blackberry jam. Can’t wait to visit Vancouver again. I will be going every morning while I’m there.
