I work nearby and never went there. I tried it for the first time today and was very surprised by the food. The chicken was delicious and the fries are very tasty. It's a cafeteria style restaurant where you pay before you eat, take your own fork and knife off the tray and seat yourself wherever you want. For lunch, it was a perfect, copious meal. Cheap too. What French C doesn't like about Panelo:
"Portuguese BBQ in old town St-Hyacinthe is worth a visit. The small and cozy venue is just a few blocks away from downtown. The welcoming owner operates the charcoal rotisserie grill to perfection. With a dozen items on the menu, including Piri piri chicken, chouriço, and bifanas, the full chicken is a good value and also available in half or quarter portions. The combos are too good to share, but a great way to try everything popular on the menu.".
By far the best chicken i've tasted in a long time other than my own. I 100% recommend this place if you like generous portions at a reasonable price!

Roasted chicken is the best in town. Prices are fair, and people are very kind. I keep coming regularly. The passion fruit soda is my favourite!
OMG! Insanely delicious chicken, fries, and salad. Will be dreaming about this place.
The quality of the food is exceptionally great. It was hot and tasty.Portions could use an upgrade for the price. I wouldn't eat there every week, but once in a while it's very worth it.
