Was User at La Table d Aurore a mag?
Monday December we were looking for a nice place to have lunch. Our choice was on Saint Guilhem and the aurora table in front of which we had often passed without stopping us! very good reception, very pleasant despite sanitary restrictions and recruitment problems. our daughter, a handicapper, was very well received and loved the Christmas decor! the menu was delicious and the dish of the day very copied! short we h... What User dislikes about La Table d Aurore:
this weekend, dinner with friends. we chose a formula, dessert dish, nice welcome salad but too vinegarious. Then we were three to take the veal blanquette, but we saw a plate of veal sauté with a sort of pepper cream sauce, a pear eminced, mushrooms and frog potatoes. It wasn't bad, but nothing to do with a calf blanquette. dessert, medium pie. brief, not exceptional at all, pleasant and friendly staff. You have to... View all feedback.

Came for one night in Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, it is almost the only restaurant still open in the evening. The welcome was simple but pleasant and the menu was excellent at €29. The cook knows perfectly how to cook meat and knows how to do it well. A plate-sized rib of beef for €29 with starter and dessert is great! I recommend and I would go back as soon as I am back in Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert
Very good restaurant. Friendly welcome, beautiful setting a little away, very good cuisine for a content price. I'll go back with pleasure.
Very nice place, nice decoration, good relation quality prices of dishes, service to review....!
Excellent kitchen, very nice reception, to recommend closed eyes

We were 6 adults with 2 kids and 1 trolley, we ate on the terrasse and we ordered the 20€ formule (plat dessert). Some had the piece of meat (bavette) which was excellent, the others had the fish that was also very good. The desserts were a chocolat fondant and tiramisu. Both very good although the tiramisu had too much mascarpone. The view is nice, the plate is very nice and the terrasse very enjoyable. The service is perfect, fast and friendly. Good place that deserves to be known and very good value for money.
One thing to remember is that we are in south of France and not the côte d'Azur meaning friendly staff and sometimes slow service but this is how it works here, right? Because it's all about enjoying the place and the cicadas singing. The food is simple but good and typical -plus cheap. So basically everything we can expect from a place from this region. My hometown is very close and going back to saint guilhem made me fall in love once again with this village.
Having spent the afternoon exploring the streets of Saint Guilhelm we were ready to sit down and arrived before the restaurant was open. No problem: we were served drinks and olives in the patio to wait for our table. Dinner was served in an elegant dining room, the wine list was interesting and tempting. The menu offered a good array of local specialties. Dinner was excellent. Servive very good.Walking back through the sleeping village to our B&B was and easy 5 to 10 minutes walk.
We stayed at the hotel, Le Guillaume d 'Orange, which is fabolous! The restaurant, however, is a different story. It didn 't come as a surprise, though we had a mediocre experience here last year. But ! The other restaurants we would have chosen were closed. So we braved it, and hoped they had taken notice of the many bad reviews, and done something to fix it. But No! Efficiency is an unknown expression here! The service was friendly, but our waitress had absolutely NO experience. The meal lasted for three (3) hours. Everything took forever, and she promptly forgot every request. Obviously, the main problem is Chaos in the kitchen each course arrived at different times for each member of our party. The food was passable, but way too expensive. We pay the same for Gourmet food elsewhere. If there is a next time in St. Guilhem, we 'll eat anywhere else!
My friend and I went for lunch, because the patio looks really nice and cosy! All went well until we got the food on the table... Apparently wasps love sea food! It was literally all over my friend's plate... When we asked if we could change table we were told that it would be the same elsewhere and we were offered menus to wave them away. We insisted to be placed inside and we finally moved. Then the jokes continue when waitresses keep coming in and out yelling at each other while we are trying to have a quiet lunch... Also, don't take the Italian salad.... It's just olive oil pasta, with a green salad on the side. I understand they have a lot of people, but I really felt like they were only about money and not about service nor quality food. Very disappointed.
