Description

Perched on the St. Clair River, Drifters is a bright, casual spot refreshed by new owners and praised for solid classic breakfasts, generous portions, friendly service and scenic riverfront seating. Guests enjoy low‑carb options, vanilla shakes, a full bar with mimosas and outdoor patio dining. Clean, quick and family‑friendly, it’s a reliable choice for tourists and locals. Occasional management hiccups—unexpected kitchen closures, pricey drinks and isolated reports of food‑related illness—have left some diners cautious.

Yesterday (07/04/21) was first time in 10+ years visiting drifters. The Twins , Larry and Kristen simply could not be any more thorough in any manner one could dream of at a restaurant/bar. St Clair fireworks, completely filled streets/venues and yet everything flowed silky smooth. Patio remained spotless and I mean spotless, bar churned customers like butter..... Can 't say enough about these people and their unfettered performance.

Always a great breakfast at Drifters. Fast friendly service, nice portion sizes, they have a low carb option for breakfast as well. You can enjoy the river view and the plaza court yard. They have a full bar they serve mimosas and Bloody Mary’s. Outdoor seating on the patio in the summer. Great place. Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $10–20

The overall experience was not good, food was fast food quality at best. The waited asked how I wanted my burger cooked, but since they use frozen, pre made patties like fast food, they could only do it well done and it was $11 for just a burger, no fries. The perch here is also frozen and is extremely bland. No chef should let food like this leave their kitchen. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20
