My smoothie was overlo... read more I've always enjoyed this restaurant, but my recent experience was so strange and disappointing that I doubt I will order from them again. My smoothie was overloaded with CBD—so much so that it was the only flavor I noticed, and it left a burning sensation in my mouth and throat. My driver informed me that they had prepared the wrong size, so they had to redo the order. Instead of just making another 8 oz smoothie, they put it in a random glass jar. I just can't understand it. This place is so inconsistent that it hardly seems worth the trouble. All I really wanted was one of their waffles, but unfortunately, they were out of that. It's honestly the only item that is reliably good.

While the wait t... read more As a plant based eater, I 've tried to make myself love this place on more than one occasion. I 've been disappointed almost every single time. While the wait times aren 't ideal, I would be able to tolerate that for high quality food. Unfortunately, Rootbound does not meet that criteria. Three times I 've ordered a waffle and every single time the waffles were both burnt on the outside and undercooked on the inside with next to no flavor. I 've had to go back to ask for a full serving of their overpriced kombucha when the pour was embarrassingly low. Their juices are fine. If you 're going there for a juice, okay.. In addition to the waffles, their other main dishes left a lot to be desired. I think this place is more of an idea that was poorly executed than an environment worth visiting. High costs, bad food, long wait times.
