Daughter got to pick the place for dinner and she likes Ichiban. First time for me. I knew it was buffet but wow. A whole dining room full of nothing multiple buffet lines of all different stuff. If I could leave a negative star I would! I have eaten here a few times before with the only thing negative being the staff are not the friendliest. Oh well.. But day way absolutely horrible. First it's a buffet so you shouldn't expect great food But new century buffet I think is the best Chinese buffet in Gainesville.
They now charge a dollar to cook your Mongolian yummies.
The food is always hot and fresh. The staff is friendly and fast. The dishes offered are sushi, salad bar, dessert bar, hibachi bar and a wide selection of main dishes and soups. Great place to eat.
Ichiban is simply the best Hibachi and Sushi buffet in Jacksonville! I am deeply impressed by the diversity and quality of Sushi along with the freshness of their Hibachi ingredients. The usual Chinese tariff is usually also good. And of course they have a good selection of ice flavors for the children!
Excellent service. The managers and waiters were very attentive and polite. The food was very good. There was a nice selection and good quality. My favorites were the Hibachi, the seaweedsalat and the sweet potato sushi.
