De Leon Cocina - Saint Augustine

I’ve been coming to De Leon on and off for a couple of years. We used to always order el Paisa and the Caribe bowls, those were such a tasty and inexpensive meal for a the portion. I’d also say their tres leches and mango juice are amazing!!Most recently, we visited this past Saturday and ordered the bandeja paisa and bistec a caballo (ordered this to go and didn’t photograph). My daughter wanted rice and beans with a fried egg which was perfect because the bandeja paisa comes with a fried egg so I just ordered a side of their rice and beans. I’ve never been disappointed by the food or service. The servers are super attentive and the food arrives pretty quickly.If you’re looking for some fairly priced, delicious and authentic food, this is the place for you!Parking: The restaurant is inside of a hotel so the parking is shared with the hotel goers but I’ve never had an issue finding parking.

This is the most authentic Latin Colombian you can find in Florida. The chef is from Medellin and every single dish has a unique touch. Amazing service. Very well served Gourmet Colombian food. It is located inside The Ponce hotel.

My wife is from Bogota, so anytime we hit a new town, we look for a Colombian restaurant. This one not only met every expectation, it exceeded them! Service, excellent. Drinks, excellent. Food, beyond excellent. Pay no attention to the few poor reviews you may see. Those individuals were clueless. Anytime I am in St Augustine or just heading North on 95, I will be stopping back in.

Came with a group of five, and the food was authentically. Colombian, the quality the food was amazing. The service was amazing. I would come back over and over again, and if I lived here I would eat here every day.

I ordered the Bandeja Paisa and this is one of the best things I’ve ever tasted in my life. The servings of meat are super generous and everything is cooked and seasoned perfectly. I ordered on DoorDash and even though it took some time to get here, about 45 min, nothing was soggy. Everything was nice and fresh. I love plantains and tostadas so I always get extra of those. You literally can’t go wrong with this place. The dishes are very consistent too, it’s good every time. Thanks for the delicious food!
