Description

Located about 15 minutes from Chateau Montebello, this small Haitian family-run restaurant offers a special island vibe. With simple picnic-like tables and friendly service, the chicken dinner with spices, beans, rice, coleslaw, and fresh mango lemon juice is a must-try. The delectable pork griot and plantains with piquant sauce are highlights, along with refreshing made-to-order juices. The Creole flavors, vegetarian options, and courteous owners make this restaurant a delightful and affordable treat worth the trip. With Cuban, Haitian, and Dominican music playing, this cozy and unique spot is a nice change from typical fast food joints.

Hidden gem! I highly recommend dining at Felons, the restaurant located in the reception area of the historic site. If you find yourself in Port, be sure to check it out.

The restaurant makes their sweet potato fries in-house, along with the rest of the menu. They offer vegetarian options and a unique Creole-style croute dish. The owners are friendly and accommodating, and the restaurant has a cozy atmosphere.

We ordered the chicken dinner, which was a delicious combination of spices. It was served with beans and rice, along with a side of coleslaw. The fresh juices (mango and lemon mix) were also a delightful addition to our meal. The family that runs the restaurant could not have been nicer. Overall, it was a real treat to dine at this charming establishment.

My family and I are going to be in this small snack without pretention at least 4-5 times a summer and we always go back and happy. Delectable pork griot, meat paste always well hot and tasteful and delicious plantan bananas don't hesitate to try the piquant sauce on them. and the juices prepared on order are so refreshing! It's worth the detour!!!
