We had to find a spot for diner before a bantam hockey game, so we searched tripadvisor, and choose this restaurant. I was surprised by the variety, and the originality of the menu. Anyone can find something for is taste, and they offer a large...selection of pizza. We went on saturday, and the place was busy, but the service was good. The prices are average, but the wine prices start in the My only complain is that... View all feedback.
What Álvaro Aponte doesn't like about Le Cafe Du Bistrot:
After being AVID bistro fans for many years our visit last evening has left us very disappointed. After placing our uncomplicated) order for 4 adults 3 small bistro pizza 1 soup 1 poutine 2 beers 1bottle of house wine) ...1 frie. I watched for over 1 hour seeing happy faces leave the resto with their food bundles. When we finally did get our food items had to be returned because they were cold. It appears that the ta... We went to this restaurant by chance on the advice of the owner of the hostel where we reside! What a beautiful discovery! We weren't expecting a restaurant of this quality in a small town like this! we took the dish of the day made of lobsters preceded by a salad! A marvel! desserts were also very good! the pleasant and effective sevice! If you're in the corner, go!
We went here for dinner while staying at chateau montebello and were so happy with the food, service and ambiance here. Our server was so nice and very helpful. The menus is only in french but if you dont speak french, dont worry... they will help you. The menu is extensive, but they are well known for their pizzas because of their wood burning pizza oven. There are many traditional and typical dishes here so take some time to find out what is on the menu. One of our group had steak frites, which was pretty good. The pizza and salads are really good.. very big and the salad had very fresh ingredients. Big salad is nice after all the poutine that we have been eating! To get away from hotel food, we always explore local places where normal people eat good food...this is the place. There were only locals here and it was a busy saturday night. They were so nice here and we are thinking of going again tonight! Not much choice in montebello so although we wouldnt normally go to the same place twice, this might be the case so we dont have to eat at the hotel.
For 13 dollars, we had a superb host table: broccoli soup, fried steak or pizza and salad, ice cream and coffee. everything was good, tasteful and well presented. We'll go back.
We were on our way to Mont Tremblant on 03/18/2017 and from the reviews on Trip Advisor, decided to go a little bit out of our way and stop at this fantastic little family country restaurant. Well, we were pleasantly surprised, or should I say we were happy to see the write-ups matched our experience. Luckily we were there for a late lunch (03:00 pm) otherwise we would have been in a huge line and probably not have waited. That would have been Our Loss. There were four adults and a toddler (18 months). Our server was just outstanding and bilingual. She was just so friendly and our grand-daughter took an immediate liking to her right away, which is unusual. Anyway, the ambience was truly country and friendly. The food selections were numerous, the food was truly fantastic and the prices were very reasonable. We enjoyed all our apps and mains. What a beautiful little hidden gem and the friendly staff obviously enjoy what they do. What a recipe for success.
This resto is very popular, especially on Friday lunch. Reservation recommended. Very diverse menu, excellent wine list, good range of beers. Very expansive menu with Italian, steak, seafood, lobster, several cheese-based dishes, wood-fired pizza = something for every palate.
