Cafe Coucou - Saffron Walden

On a day I like to pick up a coffee, and maybe one of the wonderful rolls, and go and sit in bridge end gardens listening to the blackbirds sing, and think everything that is for a privilege it is. to be alive.

To offer the most amazing scones, cakes and craft brote in saffron forests. I had the most delicious Filo-Quech for lunch. salate very fresh. very friendly and friendly staff. real value for money. I'm back.

Disappointing, slow service, seated at a dirty table, dirty chairs with food all over the floor, when the food we ordered eventually arrived it was poor

Have always had good experiences with Coucou previously. Visited on a Tuesday lunchtime and the cafe was not busy. The service was slow, we were forgotten for long periods and had to call over to the shop staff for attention. The salads were nice as...usual but they had forgotten the walnuts (the waiter did bring them when we asked) and one slice of goats cheese seemed mean for a dish costing £13. Bread lovely as usual. All in all we were disappointed.

Fantastic sandwiches on breads baked in-house, Quiches, sausage rolls, pies and more for a great lunch. In addition there are lots of fabulous cakes and sweets to chose from. Service is quick and friendly and food is great value for money.
