What Cesar Reynoso likes about Jalapeno's:
Stopped in on a Saturday night after walking around the city. The customer service the food were amazing! I’m Mexican myself, I’m usually pretty picky with how “authentic” and flavorful the food is, and this place actually succeeded in impressing my taste buds. read moreJalapeno's, a family-run Mexican taqueria located in Sacramento, offers a delicious and authentic dining experience. The hole-in-the-wall restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating, with a cozy atmosphere perfect for enjoying their tasty tacos and tostadas. The owner, Alejandro, has been running the place for over 30 years and ensures that customers feel like familia. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the menu offers a variety of options, including the popular tinga de pollo tacos and the $2 tostadas on Thursdays. The food is flavorful and authentic, with the horchata being a standout item. The restaurant has survived the pandemic and continues to exceed expectations, making it a must-visit spot for anyone looking for a true taste of Mexican cuisine in Sacramento.
Excellent tacos, excellent service. Will be back to try some cocktails and other food options. Super easy on the pocketbook as well.

Stopped in on a Tuesday for $1 street tacos. Tried the 4 varieties- all were very good. Ask for the homemade hot sauce! Service was super friendly and fast!
Two stars for the regular food, but three stars for the breakfast burritos if they remember to cook the potatoes enough so they are not crunchy.
