This was my first time dining here, and I've heard a lot of positive reviews about the place. I was not let down. I ordered the basic BBQ chicken and rice, and the portion was quite generous—I couldn't finish it! The leftovers are definitely a bonus. I highly recommend visiting. What L F doesn't like about L&l Hawaiian Barbecue:
The food has been much better In the past. Ordered mini fish plate, fish was mushy under cooked. It tasted like everything else that had been cooked in their deep fryer. Tasted like everything BUT fish. Service has declined also. Probably due to the employees talking playing amongst themselves rather then taking care of customers. As always, the food is delicious! The Chicken Katsu (regular size) is my favorite. It's always crispy and tasty. The regular portion is quite large, so I always have leftovers.
The food was lukewarm, and the BBQ chicken was unpleasantly chewy and not tasty at all. This is the first time I've had such a poor experience at this location, and I'm really disappointed considering the price.
The chicken katsu is delicious, and the portion size is huge. I really enjoy the steamed vegetables, and they offer a delightful salad dressing. The salad mainly consists of iceberg lettuce paired with that dressing, and it's absolutely fantastic!
The Chicken Katsu (Regular) was a huge portion of food with the Rice and Mac. I could finish it all. The Chicken Katsu (Regular) did came with katsu sauce. The French Gravy Fries was okay. I really loved the Bottled Watermelon Crush.
Best hawaiin around. always generous portions at a good price. love this place
