What Vic Rozco likes about J. R.'s Texas Bar-B-Que:
Best brisket sandwich anywhere been going here for years eventhough it's not close was dad to hear they'll be closing soon. So go give em a try before it's too late. View all feedback. What Tammy doesn't like about J. R.'s Texas Bar-B-Que:
It's kind of an out of the way place. The inside was clean. The bbq smelled amazing. We wanted to try the food but there was no air conditioning. At 104 degrees it was to hot for us to eat lunch there. When the weather cools down, I may try again. View all feedback.

read moreJR's Restaurant is a long-standing establishment in the Sacramento community known for dishing out great barbecue. The atmosphere and photos in the restaurant reflect a history with locals and celebrities alike. The food is described as incredible, with highlights being the brisket sandwich, flavorful beef brisket, and large portions of delicious BBQ. Customers can choose from three different barbecue sauces to accompany their meals. Despite some negative experiences with food freshness and customer service, many patrons appreciate the quality of the food and the hospitality of the owner. Overall, JR's Restaurant seems to be a popular choice for authentic BBQ in Sacramento.

read moreDriving into an industrial complex we didn't know what to expect or what we would findWell i can tell you what we found was a little piece of home.
Craving some BBQ, not wanting to cook OR go out to eat, we opted to get some take-out from JR's Texas Bar-b-que on a Saturday afternoon.
Brisket was very tender with great flavorThe ribs were dry and difficult to eat.
