Best brisket sandwich anywhere been going here for years eventhough it's not close was dad to hear they'll be closing soon. So go give em a try before it's too late. View all feedback.
What Tammy doesn't like about J. R.'s Texas Bar-B-Que:
It's kind of an out of the way place. The inside was clean. The bbq smelled amazing. We wanted to try the food but there was no air conditioning. At 104 degrees it was to hot for us to eat lunch there. When the weather cools down, I may try again. View all feedback.

I had the brisket and beef ribs with mac salad and beans. Nothing extravagant, brisket was decent a little more seasoning on crust and could have been just a bit more tender but very decent brisket. Ribs I give same review more seasoning on crust. I cant speak of the other meats yet. All on all very decent brisket.
Great customer service, BUT this is not BBQ and for sure not Texas BBQ. I am sorry but the meat was not cooked fully, dry, no flavor and some were so hard to chew. As it was cooked on microwave. I catered to my whole agency and was so disappointed how the food was, specially with all the reviews. It is not accurate. They are not from Texas and said they got the recipe from Texas. I am sorry but a true disappointment.
I bought the standard plate, beef brisket with 2 sides, potato salad and coleslaw. I filled sauce container with a combo of regular and sweet bbq sauce. The brisket was flavorful, tender, the sauce was tasty, the sides were exactly what I wanted to go with the baked bbq beans I had waiting for me at home. The service was great, I will definitely go back.
