Pennocks Icecream - Sackets Harbor
Pennocks Icecream
Description
Nestled nearby, Pennocks Ice Cream Stand has long been a beloved local gem. However, recent experiences reveal a mixed bag. While many patrons cherish its nostalgic charm and note the impressive variety of flavors, complaints about service quality and cleanliness have surfaced. Customers have reported a lack of attention from staff, higher-than-expected prices, and an unsettling environment. In contrast, some found satisfaction in new alternatives that offer better prices and friendlier service. Despite its storied history, Pennocks must address these concerns to maintain its status as a cherished summer destination for ice cream lovers.

I have been coming to this restaurant my whole life since I live nearby. I took my children there last night and ordered 2 small ice creams and a milkshake, which cost almost $19. When I mentioned that it was a bit expensive, the woman behind the counter pushed me and slammed the door. Both her and her daughter were very rude. We went into town and ordered the same items for only $14.
I used to be a frequent customer at this restaurant until I was scolded for throwing away a cup in their trash while waiting in line for ice cream. The woman with greasy hair told me that outside trash was not allowed and I needed to take it out. I was willing to do so, but she wouldn't give me a napkin to retrieve my small Dunkin cup from the garbage. She then made my mom dig into the trash with her bare hands to get the cup. I decided to go to the nearby ice cream shop called Creek Side Custards and informed them about what happened. They said I could throw away my cup without any issues and even encouraged me to dispose of anything I needed. Additionally, the ice cream prices at Creek Side Custards are much cheaper and taste better than the ice cream at the previous restaurant.
"I absolutely love the waffle cone and the ice cream was delicious. Please note that this restaurant only accepts cash."
