We used to love this restaurant, finding the food selection, quality and service to be excellent for a lone restaurant at 3500 metres with a captive audience! But it changed hands (at the end of last season I think) and is now just another mountain restaurant with horrible spag bol, overpriced fries, and grumpy staff (except for one young, blond waiter who must be a holdover from the previous regime.) You may want to eat here once, just for the view, but you won't be back.
If you're in Saas Fee, you have to visit the highest revolving restaurant in the world! Just amazing views. The food was fairly typical mountain food, but really good. It's the experience that you come for, though.
.by the way I find it very bad to serve industrial dishes (of the box) in such a beautiful place. the portion of fries still costs 14.- plus 1.- for ketchup. Why not, we are 3500 meters in the middle of paradise in a restaurant that turns 360 degrees. That said, she might be good. Mixed salads completely made with box and surprise shhhhhhh, part of it contained pasta salad, which I had never seen in a salad of crudities I suppose it was the remains of yesterday because the pasta had leather for 3 good centuries. servers are super fast and friendly.
Eye-watering views on a clear day as the restaurant revolves once every 60 minutes, but also eye-watering prices. Bowl of unremarkable soup CHF16.90, glass of tap water CHF2.90 (you get charged for the water even if you've ordered a beer to go with it). Sensational views but a poor restaurant.
OK, so the view is beyond compare on a clear day, on a cloudy day it's the equivalent of sitting inside a revolving ping pong ball. Unlike every other mountain restaurant in Saas-Fee I actually managed to get served, we gave up on Felskin and Morenia. The winter card has upped numbers...but some restaurants have not added staff. It's not cheap...but probably better value than the others.
