If you like gemütlichkeit this is it. Cosy alpine style, good pizza's, schnitzel, some game. Takeaway pizzas as well.
We ate at this lovely restaurant a couple of times during our holiday the food was delicious and the team great. Particular highlight was the garlic soup and the pepperpot steak. Friendly service, warm welcome and great food! Definitely worth a visit!
We ate here twice during a week's skiing, a quick pizza lunch and a relaxed dinner with friends. Atmosphere was bustling in the evening with friendly and efficient service. Good selection of nicely crisp pizzas and speciality dishes, all appetising, and save room for generously proportioned puddings. Recommended
Tasty food (also vegetarian and vegan option), nice coffee, interesting interior. The waiters was very friendly and professional. I would totally recommend this restaurant!
We have been here today, trying to enjoy a lunch in this wonderful Taverne. As we get in, the discussions started were in German, and after our many insistences, the arrogant waiter spoke to us in English. They have probably forgotten that English is the language of international circulation both in tourism and in the business environment. We have ordered green tea and fruit tea. The cheapest brands on market, which are rarely used for breakfast in treatment sanatoriums. Then we have ordered a mix grill and a stake with vegetables and french fries. The Mix Grill should be called 3 Thin and Small Slices of Chicken, Boiled Beef on Grill and Pork served with Monosodium glutamate vegetables powder Amazing! I have never ate meat with flavor enhancer. Maybe this is the maximum potential of a cook. The sauce of Mix Grill was a poor cheap sauce, which can be purchased from a neighborhood shop in a period where there are discounts. The Stake had no taste, being the most tasteless stake that we ever eaten in Austria. For sure the beef was frozen before. The vegetables that accompanied the beef were rancid and had the taste of a casserole where they stayed for a longer time. We couldn 't eat them. In the end, even if during the time we ate we were not asked by the waiter if everything is good or if we needed something else, at the time we wanted to pay, the waiter especially wanted to mention that the tip is not included in the price. The only reason we ate there was because we were hungry. Otherwise, I would never enter such a place, which has a very nice traditional Austrian look, well arranged, clean and decorated.
