This is a good place to go if you just want to eat and go. Has a good selection of snacks and younger clientele use the seats at the bar to eat at. Typical Austrian fayre is available as well as burgers which are very nice and filled with proper meat. Drop in for a quick drink or snack, or in the evening if you fancy a lively drink at the outside ice bar before hand!!! View all feedback.

First night in Hinterglemm, arrived late so didn't take the take to check TripAdvisor for recommendations. I should have learnt by now! Place is on the main street (Dorfstr.) and seemed to be quite popular. I went there with friends in the evening. I ate an excellent dish, the name should be Val Gardena (if I remember correctly). I also got another dish, with salad. I am Italian and I have never eaten a similar meal in my country, it was a beautiful experience. The waiter is friendly and the prices are not too high. I can recommend it.
The interior is wonderful. A lot of old tools to see. The food is great. Try the schnitzel or the burger. The apfelstrudel with vanilla sauce is delicious.
One of the best burgers I ever had! Always packed. Try making a reservation if you want a table, otherwise you will be dining at the bar, which can be done comfortably as well by the way. Food quantity and quality is good, prices are in line with other restaurants in the village centre.
That was a terrible experience. The service was appalled with a rude and ignorant waiter who was abrupt and complained when we wanted to pay him with a €50 note!!! After spending a fantastic day on the ski slopes, it would not have been difficult to keep a sympathetic mood, but the waiter managed to pamper every day! Although the interior is actually interesting, smoking at the table is only terrible if it is allowed. Do not go there!!!
I would have given this restaurant four points for the food, service and welcome, but unfortunately they don't have a no-smoking area and so you have to eat your meal breathing in second hand smoke which detracts from an otherwise excellent experience. Smokers will probably give it a higher rating, and so they should. The food is great and staff are very friendly. All they need to do is set one room aside for those who like to smell the food they are eating and they will have cracked it.
