I planned to grab sushi at our local Japanese Market but was pleasantly surprised to see Z Buddies Sushi Truck. I was a little hesitant but after reading reviews I can agree this is pretty good quality fish and flavors are delightful as well! I've never thought about having a sushi truck cater an event of mine but this is a choice forsure! View all feedback.
What Koyuki T doesn't like about Zs Buddies Sushi:
40 min wait to get simple dishes. Everyone else who ordered after me got their stuff, but I had to wait 40 min. Whenever I asked if mine is ready, they said no yours are not ready but other people who ordered the same things got their food...? They treated me as if I wasn 't patient, but by the time I got mine, nobody was waiting for food. Only people who are waiting to order were there.

Food: After coming here for a Yelp Elite Event, we would say that this food truck is a decent option for a sushi crave fix. The event allowed us to try the Poke Salad Bowl it came with a good sized portion of fresh tuna and salmon on top of spring mix, and complemented with seaweed salad, imitation crab, avocado, and cucumber. The ingredients were fresh, and all worked together. However, we thought the sauce was too sweet and swayed from traditional Hawaiian poke recipes; it felt like an Americanized version of poke. The event also allowed us to try the fried oysters these were also pretty tasty. We bought the Mt. Fuji Burrito and found it better than the bowl. It also came with tuna and salmon, this time tossed in spicy Mayo and rolled in a seaweed/rice burrito. Again, portions were decent for the price/food truck food. If you are hungry after shopping at Target here, we would recommended just the burrito. Service: The owner was a friendly and helpful dude! Gave us a little background on the roots of his food truck venture. Very welcoming energy from him. Atmosphere: Clean food truck situated in the Target parking lot here. Between this truck and the other available, this one caught my eye. Clean menu layout and aesthetics.
Ken may have conceived this idea, but deep down, we all knew we craved something new—different flavors and a unique vibe. Discovering such a fantastic place can be a challenge when it’s a food truck, but Ken and his team definitely make it worth the trip. This takeout spot is a beacon of hope amidst the mundane and the usual dining options. Maybe it’s time you treat yourself to a sushi roll the size of your face!
