The Westin San Diego Bayview

This hotel is so amazing. This is our favorite place to stay when we take the train to San Diego. It is within walking distance from the train station and is such a great hotel for my family to go to. As with any hotel, it's only as great as the staff. Anna, Livvy, and Kiko were so sweet and welcoming at the front desk, especially to my kids. Alicia at the downstairs restaurant was also amazing and helpful with such a great attitude. I think the only reason we stay at The Westin, other than the awesome pool with turf around it and super nice rooms, is the friendly staff. We always come here and will definitely be back! Thank you to all the amazing staff!

I've stayed at Westin's for years and needed to be in San Diego for a conference so decided to give this one a try. Stayed here for a conference for 5 days in May and overall had a pleasant experience. Check in was fine and I got in early and they were able to provide me with a room. No upgrade but it seemed like a busy week. Bottled water is always appreciated and I was able to get coffee each morning downstairs in the lobby. The location for what I needed was great although depending on what you are in town for it may not be the best one for you. Since my meeting was down at the convention center I appreciated having a bit of distance from all the hotels down there.

I had a great time at this hotel. The front desk clerk who helped me, Livvy, was super friendly and helpful. She upgraded my room without me having to ask. She also let me do a late checkout. My room was great too. It had a partial bay view and was very clean and comfy.

It's ok. We stayed for just one night, so I didn't make too much of a fuss about what I didn't like.Honestly, the cleanliness of the room was questionable. Although the bathroom was very clean. I hated that the bathtub had no shower curtains, just like a half glass thing that does nothing to prevent water from getting on the floor when you take a shower. The room furniture looked tired and old and the TV service was not good at all. They had basic cable, but half of the channels were not working and could not get any kids channel for my almost 5 year old. The room service food menu was very limited, especially for lunch and dinner, and it was super expensive for a subpar meal. All in all, It's ok if you just need a quick stop for a night or 2 at the max.I will definitely think twice before returning to this Westin location.

This property needs to do better.. and the pricee to valet your vehicle is far above the ridiculous price of parking in the area. Westin does not appear to be concerned about a postive customer experience.
