The Counter - S San Diego

This locale took a bit long with orders but they are making it fresh so I definitely appreciate that. Great Cheeseburger, very filling and simply tasty. The fries were a perfect amount and that can always be hit or miss, for sure a thumbs up here. This was a great choice as thete were not many in this terminal unless you want a packaged sandwich or a bagel from Einsteins. I ate this standing up while charging my phone at the charging station I really didn't mind) They will give you s box n bag upon request and I did get one as I normally never finish my meals, plus I also thought I wouldn't have time to finish. Well, I did finish it and a big thumbs up to me for that. All in all I would return if I was ever back here as it was that good. Having to go through TSA twice on this second leg is a big NO for me so I would avoid flying via SD in the future.

We are delighted by The Counter’s Chipotle Chicken Sandwich. We ate this after a short flight to California (on our way to Hawaii). We might fly back just for the sandwich.? The chipotle sauce was mild and unique and all the other ingredients were top quality. Great for airport food.

Airports are dreadful and Terminal 1 in SD is even worse. But the Counters stupid 2% charge to recruit and retain employees is some first class bullshit. Just add 5 cents to everything and dont make lame employee blaming surcharges.

As The Counter goes, this one isn't great. Very limited menu, mediocre food, not great service. I ended up just getting sweet potato fries and a coke... only to find out the coke dispenser was out of syrup. I told the guy at the counter who seemed uninterested. The fries were over cooked. Not a lot of choices for food here and ghey will stay busy because of that, not because they're good.

Seen this place so many times as I go through the airport often. Finally ordered fries today and yeah it 's true.. smells like fried food so attracts... but these things were left overs not out lot fresh or I dunno .. just tepid old fries that you get hours after you got them from a fast food place outside think the idea they sell is you get a freshly fried experience... nope you 'd do better ordering out and bringing with. Difficult as you 're kinda locked in ... anyway leave 30 min extra and grab a wrapped 'something ' you 'll thank me
