The restaurant has a decent ambiance with a hint of Chinese style. We ordered desserts and snacks. The newly introduced osmanthus cake was quite good, and the purple rice yogurt was delicious. The shaved ice had an average taste, and the portion size was generous, although it had some clumps. There are plenty of parking spaces available outside. View all feedback.
What Kelly Ranasinghe doesn't like about Bei Yuan Tea Boba:
My cousins went here the day before and they only got drinks so we decided to try them for drinks and food. We spent about $78.00 for four snacks and two drinks. We ordered the round tofu which smelled of fish and was otherwise flavorless, the crispy tofu which was unseasoned, and literally just fried, and the hot and medium snack chicken. Also deep fried, bitter with tons of paprika and basically no other spice. The... View all feedback.
Very tasty combo meal with drinks. Great service. Great atmosphere to eat. Overall a wonderful taiwanese food restaurant!
Yay! Yomie Yogurt now in San Diego (from 2pm-10pm). We first had this in Hawaii and really wanted this to come to San Diego. Nearest other one is in Irvine. They're opening another one on Convoy by Bonchon. If you like yogurt, you'll love this. Got the Red bean rice. Delicious as always. Get it now, because it's going to trend especially when Convoy opens. Also got the red bean slush. Lots of red bean mixed in. Yum! Got 50% sweet and it was perfect. We'll definitely come back.
Now serving Yomie yogurt drink! However only available from 2PM-10PM. I got the jujube and purple rice drink and it tasted super fresh. The only downside is that it was almost $8!! For boba?! This is why I cannot give them a perfect 5 stars. I don't believe that even with the inflation drinks should be costing almost what a meal is. Minimum wage is $15. Think about that for a second...for the sake of the customers I really wish they try to lower the prices. I know it's hard for everyone but I don't see myself spending $8 on a drink. I rather go to a cheaper boba spot :
Great offerings. Taro balls in hot tarp milk tea will make you smile! Order ahead and they are pretty quick!
Overall, my experiences at this restaurant have been quite good. However, I would love to see improvements in the side dishes that accompany the rice meals. Often, the side dishes feel like quick, throw-together options rather than thoughtfully prepared items.
