Docks Seafood - S Portland

We visited Maine this weekend with friends and , found Dock's in our way to a light house. The quality and price are much better than restaurants in the center of Portland. Everything is cooked fresh and delicious. We end up going back the next day before returning home.Best Seafood Showder we.ever tasted.

Very good Scallops and because I was flying out the next morning, I got crab cakes for dinner and they were good hours later.

Ordered an appetizer and a dinner to share between two people. Wanted to make sure the crab cakes did not have green pepper in them because I don't like them that way. The meal came but the crab cakes didn't, my husband had to go ask why we didn't get the crab cakes, only then where we told the crab cakes have the peppers in them. If we would have known this, if the server would have came back and told us this we could have ordered something else to go with the one meal we were sharing. But she didn't. To make matters worse she never came back to check on us either. We then had to get up and go up front to get a check because we were ready to leave. Finally had to holler across the restaurant to ask for the check. Was not impressed with the service at all. The food was okay but I have had better. Definitely not a place I will visit again.

Wow! Local to me and really changing it up. Seafood and fish has always been local and fabulous. Now the beverages are catching up. Wonderful new bar manager, Kayla, awesome cocktails and new wine list. I mean really awesome ? Parking: More than needed for full restaurant

We stopped here after visiting the Portland Head Light. We were looking for the best Lobster Roll in Maine and I think we may have found it! Everything from the toast to the meat was perfect. Thank you so much! I will be back through Portland this week and am planning a return trip.
