I highly recommend Davids 388. I've eaten here several times and the food is delicious very time. The staff is friendly and wonderful and seems to know exactly the right amount of attention to give to customers. It's a very relaxed place, in a smaller intimate, yet very comfortable space. My favorite meal so far is the Seafood Pappardelle (I've had it at least twice) and my favorite dessert is the creme brûlée. An ad... View all feedback.
What Nicklaus Rau doesn't like about Davids 388:
The menu seems dated. Dishes are catered to an older crowd and the overall vibe felt like circa 1994. Portions seem a little small. $36 for six small sea scallops, seafood stuffing and five asparagus. Dining room was noisy. We were seated next to an eight top whose noise level paralleled their bar tab. We won't go back. There are too many restaurants in the area that offer a better menu and environment for the same p... My husband and I went for dinner with high expectations, which can sometimes be the problem. We were underwhelmed by our dinner. Filet mignon was not as tender as the beef topping on my pot stickers. The filet was served on too of the garlic mashed and green beans with a sauce on top of that mixture not appetizing as it masked individual flavors making it unappetizing. My pot stickers were overly deep fried and the arugula salad was sparse and inundated with diced red peppers and dried apricots was very salty as well.

Never disappointed at David's — the food was wonderful, the server very nice, the ambience cosy though a bit noisy. The appetizers were so good, and I loved the garlicky New Zealand lamb with a creamy curried greens.
4 of us had a great dinner at David's 388. Two of us were running really late due to delayed flights but the restaurant was kind enough to wait for us and never rushed us, tho we were the last people there. We shared the mussels and arancini apps and each had a cocktail. We all ordered entrees and two wonderful bottles of wine. Two desserts were shared with David's special coffee to end the evening. Everything was wonderful.
If you have not eaten here it is a must. Make sure to ask for Sarah as she is a phenomenal waitress.
