I guess the message about the food already got out given it was absolutely dead on a Friday night. Our food was really poor, tasteless and not matching the descriptions at all. Small portions lacking seasoning with dry, overcooked meat. One to avoid!
We were staying 3 nights at Sandburn Hall with breakfast and dinner jncluded at Tykes. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. We found the evening meal had a restrictive menu if you stayed for 3 nights. I would have like more choice with perhaps some salads or pasta dishes. We had been for a meal on on boxing day and they had a fabulous menu and everything was delicious. The meals we had were good and the service was great.
Food was absolutely perfect, service was amazing, Jonah was the perfect waiter, looked after us from start to finish and never let my glass go empty!
I come here regularly with my family it is normally a large party But I came here last weekend for lunch and can honestly say that the food was very disappointing not much choice portion sizes very small I will now be finding another place for my family get togethers
Very disappointing experience. We visited Tykes Restaurant last night and were extremely disappointed with both the service and the food. The food arrived lukewarm and the portion sizes were very small for the price. The lack of service was shocking, staff were inattentive and we were left waiting far too long without any check-ins. Overall, the experience fell well below expectations and we left feeling dissatisfied. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning.
