This year I had 4 different lobster rolls from different places within a short time. I wanted to evaluate my own best role and I definitely appreciate Rye Harbor Lobster Pound the best. I had the warm lobster roll for a change and I was blown away. I'm sure their colds are just as good, very little Mayo and the lobster is as fresh as possible. View all feedback.
What Erik Douds doesn't like about Rye Harbor Lobster Pound:
Leave a 1 star review if you paid $5 for parking. Only Boston/New Hampshire would make patronizing a business cost you money, possibly the whitest thing I’ve seen on the east coast. There is also no recycling or any public investment beyond the *wonderful* picnic tables. Kind of hilarious in the “live free or die” state to force your customers to pay and you’ll see the confusion on every persons face. 1:20 pm on a Su... View all feedback.
The food was absolutely extraordinary! The location had a wonderfully authentic vibe, and the staff made me feel right at home, like part of the family. I visited on a rainy day and was the only customer there, so there was no wait at all. Just a heads up, though: all the seating is outdoors, so consider the weather. Regardless of rain or shine, I can't recommend this place highly enough! Everything was incredibly delicious. Food: 5/5.
I drove north from Boston to try this restaurant, and it was absolutely worth the trip. The service was outstanding—Zoe, who I believe is the owner, was very friendly and accommodating. The rest of the staff was also fantastic. The prices for the food were exceptionally good. Overall, I would rate the food a solid 5 out of 5.
The clam chowder here is the best I've ever tasted! The cold lobster roll was incredibly fresh and delicious. The only suggestion I have is to consider lowering the price of the lobster rolls; $29.00 seems a bit high for many people these days. I think on-site they are $20.00. Nevertheless, I truly enjoyed every bite. Food: 5/5.
The lobster rolls were excellent! The staff is very nice and friendly. Just a little pricey than normal. However, I will say one of the freshest lobster rolls I’ve ever had!! The chowder. Oh my goodness unbelievable!Food: 5/5
WORTH IT BUT… BE PREPARED TO WAIT!!! (1.5+ hrs when busy)20/10 lobster roll and bisque, huge portion, creamy, buttery and delicious! Often run out of lobster mac and bisque so get there early.A small shop that is run by a cute elderly couple, the husband chops all the lobster and the wife prepares all the orders. This is a small operation with BIG flavor. If you see a lot of people waiting outside, be prepared to wait a good hour+ if you’re getting a roll. It is totally WORTH THE WAIT for a hot roll with extra butter (you don’t really need the extra butter). I’ve never had anything like it. Best lobster roll in New England.
