This place is hig... read more There is no way these reviews are real. I just ate there and I had to leave this review before the taste of canned tomato sauce left my mouth. This place is highly overrated. I had the shakshuka and it was horrendous. It was literally pizza sauce out of acan. The other issue was that the egg was burned and over cooked. We also had the mushroom toast which was just disappointing.Such simple food that could of been amazing. It had no flavor or no salt. The drinks were good but super small. $100 for a quicklittle brunch. It’s a real shame the food wasn’t better cause it’s a beautiful place.

Love the brunch menu, avocado toast with eggs, meso Grand Plater is great for sharing with humous, tzatziki and pitabread and raw vegetables to dip, 2h fix price breakfast cocktails is a great deal. Location is a quiet corner of Rye and parkingis very convenient. They have live music bands to accompany your dining experience on Sundays and other days. All in all anexcellent restaurant to have in Rye! ????

The hostess was very kind, so far everything was fine. when we went to the table everything changed, the service of the waitress was terrible, almost from the beginning sheleft our table, after taking the apetizers order she never returned to take the order of the wine until we told someone to callher and it still took go assist us she dedicated herself more to other tables and she forgot about ours. The girl spokeSpanish just like us and we thought that for that reason we would have a good service but it was not like that. I hope theyimprove and train their waiters better because the place is very nice. My friends and me decided that we will return one ofthese days hoping for a better service because we liked the place and the atmosphere.

The menu had plenty of options, the food was delicious from appetizers to mains to desserts, and the portionsizes were plentiful. We loved the outdoor seating plenty of space in a great setting, and the service was first class. Wewill definitely return again soon, and plan to visit their other site in Del Ray, Florida !

It's in a goo... read more We've been to Meso a bunch of times but will not be returning. It is an pretty restaurant. (It has existed as various other places over the years. It's in a good location and there is plenty of parking out back. They also have outdoor seating with heaters. The food is good, basic Greek food. Unfortunately they have jacked their pricing way too high and so we will not be back. This latest round of increases was actually very offensive. Instead of just raising the menu prices, they add 3.5% on the bill if you want to pay by credit card. They don't disclose this charge up front. You just see it when you get the bill, below the tax. Our bill was $430 and so the surcharge was $15 unless we had over $500 of cash (incl tip . I mentioned my outrage to the manager. She tried to defend by saying that other restaurants are also increasing prices. Sure but they do it on the menu. She tried to argue that the cc surcharge was more transparent. Obviously the opposite is true: there is no disclosure until the bill arrives. She was fairly nasty about it too.

The hostess was very kind, so far everything was fine. when we went to the table everything changed, the service of the waitress was terrible, almost from the beginning she left our table, after taking the apetizers order she never returned to take the order of the wine until we told someone to call her and it still took go assist us she dedicated herself more to other tables and she forgot about ours. The girl spoke Spanish just like us and we thought that for that reason we would have a good service but it was not like that. I hope they improve and train their waiters better because the place is very nice. My friends and me decided that we will return one of these days hoping for a better service because we liked the place and the atmosphere.

The maitre’d was extremely rude to my husband when he requested a final round of drinks. The portion sizes of the food were small, so I left feeling hungry despite spending $400. Overall, it was a terrible experience.

The service can be inconsistent, with both good and terrible experiences. However, the biggest problem is the food. I have tried various appetizers and entrees, but none have been outstanding. The dishes have been poorly cooked, under-seasoned, and not very appealing on different occasions.

We ordered the grilled octopus and hamachi for appetizers the hamachi was great, but the octopus was extremely bland. For entrees, I had the seafood risotto and my boyfriend got the octopus cavatelli. The risotto was overcooked, and the shellfish was not cleaned. The octopus cavatelli was very bland. In addition to the mediocre food, our server was not very attentive and we sat with empty drinks throughout the meal and waited far too long to get our check so that we could leave.
