The food was really good and the staff is really friendly and they work hard covering many tables. The place was almost full but has a lot of seating. We had the catfish and meatloaf. They have a large menu selection. Also many deserts but did not save room this time!! View all feedback.

The food was not good, the three of us ordered different things from the menu, nothing was good except for the ice tea. Hannah our server was very good, polite and took care of us. Went here Wednesday night with family and was treated to delicious cooking and great service. They learned that we were family and that I was the sister of Ed Bradley who used to frequent the restaurant when he was alive (just died 10-20-22) and they wouldn't let us pay. left a big tip anyway, they were so kind and the food was really good. Their kindness was appreciated by us all.

The food was disappointing; the three of us each ordered something different and none of it was enjoyable, except for the iced tea. However, our server, Hannah, was excellent—very polite and attentive. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the restaurant was a concern. The window shelves were dirty, with dead bugs and cobwebs everywhere. The lights, especially those near the windows, were grimy, and cobwebs hung from them. To make matters worse, one of the staff members came out to clean a table, ran his hand through his hair, and then continued cleaning without washing his hands. It was quite unappetizing, but we were determined to give the food a try.
We visited this restaurant with family after checking on our property, and we had a fantastic dinner. Even though they were preparing to close, the staff did not rush us at all. Before we left, we had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Penny and the entire team. We learned about the restaurant's history and enjoyed getting to know everyone. We can't wait to have weekly dinners here once our house is built and we move in!
I would rate this restaurant 4.5 stars, but I decided to round it up to 5. The food was quite good, with generous portions. I ordered the meatloaf, which was very moist but did have a bit too much onion for my taste. The mashed potatoes, gravy, and coleslaw were outstanding. My husband had the country-fried steak, which he really enjoyed, and he said the potato salad was the best he's ever had. The German chocolate cake was truly exceptional—probably the best I've ever tasted. The highlight of our visit was the service; our server, Marsha, was incredibly friendly and attentive. She reminded me of Flo from Mel's Diner.
