The food is equally amazing. They make dozens of exotically named pastas and mix them with unusual ingredient combinations. Pleasant surprises with every bite. All together a memorable experience. View all feedback.
What Issac Fadel doesn't like about ACME:
We booked for Saturday night and had the 6pm sitting for a special dinner. We had an amazing waitress that ran us through the menu and was super friendly. We ordered 5 dishes and loved four of them, however the linguine with black garlic & burnt chilli reminded us of mie goreng two minute noodles and it seemed a bit meh compared to the others. Everything else was amazing! We were so amazed that they gave us three desser... View all feedback.
We walked by this restaurant (situated on a steep hill) every day for days on the way to our hotel and had a great meal in there on a tuesday evening. The place was busy and at full capacity I'd say people would...fit in there. The staff were helpful and prompt with their service but not in a rushed way. We felt really welcome and sat at the open front looking out onto the street.
Let me begin by saying the food here good. Very good. And, with the exception of drinks taking a while to get to us, we had an overall experience worthy of coming back. But what turned us off to coming back and soured our experience...is when the bill came. Added to the bill were two things that we didn't expect. One was a contribution to OzHarvest, AND a gratuity! We were not a large table, only of us. On top of that, our server made no mention of either of these. We don't mind being asked if we want to donate to a charity. But ask us, don't slip in onto our bill without telling us. Same for a gratuity. We like to decide if we leave a tip and how much. Not telling us is deceitful. When our server gave us the credit card machine to pay, the machine asked if we wanted to leave a tip. Our servers didn't skip that prompt. And there's no way she wouldn't know a gratuity was added to the bill. Had we not been paying attention, we would have accidentally added another gratuity. It is because of this and the fact that this place is by no means inexpensive, we will not been back.
After days of outstanding food in Sydney my wife and I were enticed into ACME by the intriguing sounding menu and attractive ambience. The staff were friendly and helpful but unfortunately the food was pretentious and overpriced. Don’t bother... there is far better available...just up the road at Farmhouse!
Okay you seriously need to change the background music... The same song was on repeat at deafening levels for almost two hours... Yes it was a Saturday night but, seriously it does not need to be that loud, your staff can not hear what people...want to order. On the good side, the food OMG, I like the way you do the orders for the table over individual meals.! Good portions and very well made. Also I like the fact to deliver one dish at a time allowing the table to finish that before the next dish. Much better than pilling all the dishes on the table and not giving any room or time to enjoy. Drinks felt a bit watered down and the quality of the sprits was average at best as no better brands available. The tables upstairs are bar tables so are high and as a the chairs with no padding are more function over comfort.
Unbelievable food and the staff is super nice! All the plates were really good, great atmosphere, I’m definitely coming back!
