Ordering online was quick and easy.

The chicken korma seemed... read more We ordered takeout early in the evening. The food took nearly two and a half hours to arrive, and it was definitely not worth the wait. The chicken korma seemed like tikka masala diluted with water, and the monkfish Bhuna was bland and lacking flavor. The pasanda had a strange green color, possibly from pistachio nuts, but it was unappetizing. The restaurant has not responded to our emails.

Booked in person 3 weeks ago and popped in the night before the booking to be told it wasn’t in the diary, so booked again. Service was good on the whole. Stairs and toilets were poor. Large Cobra beer £5.95 ridiculous price. Starters okay, particularly the chilli paneer. Mains were all very similar, and overloaded with thick onion. King prawns were barely adult prawns. Could be quite a nice restaurant if they just spent some money on the menu, decor and food quality. Won’t be going back.

The delivery time was optimistic by half an hour, but I am getting used to it, as most of my delivered orders have been delayed. The food is very good and the six adults and four children all enjoyed it. We always over order and there was enough left for my son and son-in-law to take a pack-up for lunch. Dishes are well flavoured and the tender lamb is superb. The duck was tough though, but still tasty. Of the restaurants in the area that deliver, Agra Cottage is my preference.

Having eaten here and had takeaways before, I can only presume the chef was away and the waiter produced our appalling takeaway, all 3 dishes were really appalling. Will never return.
