What Kristy Herbert dislikes about Ginger's Java:
My son wanted to check this coffee shop out. it is close to our home. We went in and the girl with long brown hair never said hello. just asked what do you want? She never smiled, the blonde girl was busy playing music on her laptop. The girl making our coffee didn 't know how to make them. She offered whipped cream, but they didn 't have any. The place was a mess. The sign that said cash only was covered so I had to... View all feedback.

Definitely worth a visit! This small shop features charming decor and a welcoming staff. The drink menu is extensive, and there are so many appealing combinations that it can be tough to decide! We stopped by on a quiet Sunday afternoon, and we plan to return with friends when there’s live music. They also seem to have board games available, making it a laid-back and enjoyable place to unwind. If they ever add some homemade treats like muffins, brownies, cookies, or popcorn to pair with those delicious drinks, it would be impossible to resist!

However, a few months passed without any communication from him. When I visited the shop, I discovered that only one of my knives was on display, which raised some serious red flags. I reached out to him repeatedly, asking if I could retrieve my knives, but he never replied, leading to even more concerns. After consulting with a lawyer, I was advised to inform them that they would be served with subpoenas if they didn't return my property, compelling them to provide answers or return my items. When I notified Jimmy and his employee of this, he called me, shouting incoherently and making threats before hanging up and blocking my number. I then texted his employee, reminding her that she might need to be a witness if I pursued legal action, emphasizing the seriousness of perjury, which could put her in legal trouble. She likely got frightened, as shortly afterward, the Rupert police contacted me to say they had my knives and instructed me not to contact the café again. After some time, during which I was out of town, I returned to the police station with my mom to collect a small box. Upon picking it up, I immediately realized it contained only a fraction of what I had left—the box held just nine rusty knives, some without sheaths and others scratched. It was clear that the 18 knives I had originally entrusted to him were not among them. Jimmy had either stolen or sold nine of my most valuable knives, which amounts to over $600 to $1,000 lost, not to mention the value of my time and materials, possibly totaling over $2,000. I strongly advise everyone to steer clear of this place, as the owner is dishonest, a thief, and will resort to threats if you simply ask for your belongings back. If you doubt my experience, try leaving your artwork there and see if you ever get it back. Today, I’m filing a stolen items report with the Rupert police and having my lawyer draft a formal demand for what I'm owed to deliver to Ginger’s Java. If they refuse to pay, it will go to trial. I have all the necessary documentation from both Alaine and Jimmy, which puts them in a difficult position. My name is on this review, and I’m not afraid to speak the truth. Jimmy, the owner, is a rough-looking character who thinks he can steal from people, threaten them, and face no consequences. There were at least ten witnesses present, and I have the inventory list signed by his barista right here next to the nine poorly kept knives I finally received. As far as I know, he never sold any of my knives, because he never gave me a dime. I suspect he pocketed the money from any sales. Avoid this place at all costs. Don't give them a single penny. Look for somewhere more honest—this place is dirty, too.

Cute little coffee shop. They have local artwork for sale on display and a variety of drinks. The even have Italian sodas and smoothies. We love the down to Earth atmosphere.

This is a fantastic spot to unwind and enjoy a cup of hot or iced coffee, tea, milkshake, or Italian soda while you pass the time and meet new people.
