Drift Inn - Rupert
Drift Inn
Description
A comprehensive review of the restaurant mentions a mixed experience. The writer visits the restaurant in Rupert during a trip from Omaha, Nebraska, highlighting the good food, particularly the 1/2 BLT and finger steaks and onion rings. However, they express dissatisfaction with the service provided by a server named Billie, noting that she was selectively serving other customers and exhibiting poor behavior, which led to a significant decrease in the tip given. Another visitor criticizes the quality of the food, suggesting it was not freshly prepared. On the other hand, guests staying at the hotel associated with the restaurant had positive experiences, praising the historic building, cleanliness, comfort, and service quality. Overall, while the restaurant may have issues with service and food quality, the hotel accommodations seem to be a hidden gem worth considering for travelers passing through the area.

The food was very good, I loved the learning about the history of the building and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Service: 5
The Drift Inn is one of my favorite places to eat also have guests stay. Food is delicious friendly staff that seem to enjoy their job. Also stayed at the Hotel for a friend's Birthday. Rooms have the old world charm are very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend there. Service: 5
We come to The Drift almost every weekend for the clam chowder and Savana's service. She is always friendly, patient, personal, on top of it and smiling under pressure. Even when she is not our server she always takes care of us if we need something. She is truly the restaurant's best asset and the reason we keep coming. The other menu items are hit or miss and seem pricey for what you get (frozen veggies, instant potatoes). I also wish the restaurant would clean their water lines, open the dining room a little earlier, and decide if they want to put silverware out before guests arrive or when they're seated because 9 times out of 10 we have to ask for silverware and it goes unnoticed by other servers. Atmosphere is nice. Overall we enjoy coming here, best place we've found in Rupert, but could improve in a couple areas.
