This store is the only place I’ve found that carries butane with an adapter cap, perfect for filling my grandfather's World War II lighter, which he used during his four years of service. Keeping it functional all these years feels like a tribute to that entire generation, and I think that’s important to acknowledge. Additionally, this is my local store and they offer a little bit of everything. I often leave with not just butane, but also a new torch lighter because I think they’re really cool. Having a store like this nearby is a blessing, especially since there aren’t many options open early. Sometimes I get frustrated with the typical grocery shopping experience at places like Stop & Shop or Shaw's. It would be great if everyone could start being more considerate in public again. A good way to kick that off is by shopping local when you’re in Rumford. It's my neighborhood gem!

It was 5:30 PM on Sunday when I checked the drop-off location for my U-Haul and discovered that, like nearly every other place, it had closed at 5 PM. By 5:45, I had nearly given up on arranging an after-hours drop-off when I noticed that Rumford Food Mart Deli was still accepting trucks for another 15 minutes. I inquired if I could bring in the truck around 6:20 or 6:30, and the manager, after asking what type of truck it was, kindly agreed. I quickly tossed my bike in the back and hurried to the store. When I arrived and he began the inspection, I realized that the drop-off hours aligned with the store's closing time. The manager had extended his time by 30 minutes just to assist me, without any hesitation. Although I haven't tried the food yet, I can't recommend their service highly enough.
