El Jefe - Rowlett

We have been dining here since the days of El Comer along the main road (before the fire). I absolutely love the food and the family that runs the restaurant! They always remember us and greet us warmly when we visit. It's one of my family's favorite places to eat!

We absolutely love it! This is our favorite spot for Mexican food, and Harry and Irene feel like family to us! Our daughters used to work at El Centro in Downtown Rowlett, and this place has become our go-to for dining. We have also supplied them with ingredients, and everything was exceptional! You really can't go wrong dining with this wonderful family!

I had a fantastic experience during my first meal! Harry, one of the owners, was very friendly and delivered our food in just 15 minutes. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. I definitely recommend trying the Margaritas!

I give a 4-star, but it's more than 3.5. Good food, average service. No ton of seating, no bar seats, no outside seats. Salsa's kind of lame. Chips are good.

Finally tried El Jefe and was pleased. Kids had the chicken strips and fries and wife and I shared an enchilada, taco plate, tamale plate. Very filling. Good margaritas too.
