Their personal hotpot is one of the best I've had! What makes it so yummy is the broth rich, clean, and super flavorful. The ingredients are able to absorb all of its yummy goodness. The amount of food is substantial, and it comes out fairly quick. We also tried some of the other items on their menu, and everything tastes fairly authentically Taiwanese. You order via a QR code at the table and pay up at the register.... View all feedback.
What Sam Fucious doesn't like about Hanlin Tea Room:
It seems the workers there dont even bother with menu and insisted using barcode to order. Whats up with more personal service by taking order ? They might as well hire robots to do the work than these useless workers who don 't wanna be there to work. Pathetic experience. View all feedback.
Placed an order online and they cancelled it without any explanation
I enjoyed this place and the panda boba was sa bomb. I'd be back if I'm around the area
One extra star for service, which was not bad, pretty courteous Came here for lunch, daughter ordered shrimp fried rice. picture in ordering system looked really good, tho expensive for fried rice imo but inflation these days so guess it 's becoming somewhat normal. However when the actual fried rice came, I was just laughing in my head. The whole portion was like the size of my daughters palm. For $12? No thx. Talked to couple of their servers and they both resorts to their leader for my curiosity in essentially false advertisement. One came back and politely said they can take it back, which was fine with me, no way paying what looks like double of what was served. Boba was good, which I also got, so credit is given where is due but I know inflation is bad just this shrinkflation for this order is ridiculous in my opinion. Judge for urselves, u have been warned, I m taking my biz somewhere else
Pretty good food. Convenient location in the in and out plaza next to targetI crave Taiwanese Chinese sometimes

To my family, I think these are the best: Oyster pancake one of the best in SoCal) dry noodle with tea noodles! most hotpot, especially seafood. Shrimp with egg rice is fine, kid's favorite. Beef noodle is ok. Dislike their pork chop fried too hard) beef tongue rice.
