Description

The Cellar Kitchen embraces a food philosophy that highlights locally sourced ingredients from the farms, fields, and homes of Barossan's and South Australians. Our inspiration comes from the farmers and the regional bounty, as well as the changing seasons and the promise of each harvest.

Wow. Super impressed by the food here! Fresh ingredients, unique and tasty dishes and friendly staff to boot. The wine list is awesome and they stock heaps of local gins which I personally appreciate. You don't need to be a guest of the hotel to eat there either which is cool. Highly recommend! Oh, and the view is amazing!

Great atmosphere, service and most importantly food. Simple 2 or 3 course menu. Worth the trip out. Dinner timed well means a glass of wine out on the balcony for the sunset is only a few steps away.

Sunday roast in the Barossa. Great view, great staff, great food. We enjoyed a 3 course menu with matched wines. With views across the valley and a fire going it's a great way to send a winter Sunday.

I had the pleasure of dining at The Cellar Kitchen, situated within the Novotel Barossa Hotel, last Thursday evening. We had a slight delay to get there. Once we entered, we were warmly welcomed upon arrival and promptly escorted to our table, where the professional and efficient staff ensured our dining experience began seamlessly. Opting for the 2-course meal at $69 per head, we were treated to complimentary sourdough bread and butter. Our entrees, featuring sweet potato and ginger soup and potted beef with toasted sourdough onion jam, tantalized the taste buds with their flavorful combinations. The menu's wine pairings can enhance the overall dining experience for those who want to try those. Although the braised short rib of beef was unavailable, the alternative options of Fillet Ling with shiitake mushrooms and hazelnuts, along with the Dry aged Aura Wagyu sirloin, did not disappoint, arriving promptly and cooked to perfection. Wagyu Sirloin had a $15 surcharge. Accor Plus members, can get a generous dining discount of up to 50%, further enhancing our satisfaction. Throughout our visit, the professionalism and attentiveness of both the staff and floor manager ensured that we felt well-cared for, leaving us with a memorable dining experience that we would eagerly revisit. Because it is night time we didn’t see the beautiful view, but people who have visited during day time boasts of picturesque views.

I honestly cannot fault our meal here tonight. I must say it’s a vast improvement from when I came a few years ago. We literally licked our plates clean. I had the tuna entree and it was so fresh and tasty. Then the amazing beef ribs!! Wow huge and so tender the meat just fell off the bone. 3 courses for $87 in these times is fantastic value for the quality, local food produced here. So glad we came back here. Food: 5
