Hygge - Rouen

All you need after a long walk in the rain is a restaurant like Hygge. We arrived while the restaurant just opened, but we were welcomed very warmly. Fortunately, there was still room for two (still making a reservation just to be sure, it's a popular place). The menu is nice and compact, but the choice remains a difficult task because the three main entries and dishes have been well thought out and they look delicious. In the end, we opted for soup and a risotto (both vegans), both very good in temperature and taste. My partner then managed to "rush" a meringrated lemon pie, of which he kept talking later. By the way, we were on the ground floor, but it also looks very comfortable on the floor. The restaurant has been decorated with a lot of taste, including toilets (clean and neat). In short: a ek you can only get a big smile on your face. A highlight of our trip! We will return! (Original view) Alles wat je na een lange wandeling in de regen nodig hebt, is een restaurant als Hygge. We kwamen binnen toen het restaurant nog maar net open was, maar werden heel hartelijk verwelkomd. Gelukkig was er nog plaats voor twee (voor de zekerheid altijd even reserveren, dit is een geliefde plek). Het menu is lekker compact, maar alsnog is kiezen een hele opgave want over alle drie de voorgerechten een hoofdgerechten is goed nagedacht en ze zien er heerlijk uit. Uiteindelijk gingen we voor de soep en een risotto (beide overigens veganistisch), beide zeer goed op temperatuur en smaak. Mijn partner wist er daarna nog een citroen-merenguetaartje bij te 'proppen ', waar hij na afloop maar niet uitgepraat over raakte. We zaten trouwens in het gedeelte beneden, maar boven ziet het er ook heel gezellig uit. Het restaurant is met veel smaak ingericht, tot het toilet (netjes en schoon) aan toe. Kortom: een ek waarvan I goeen maar een dikke grijns op je gezicht kunt krijgen. Hoogtepuntje van onze reis! Wij komen terug!

We were beautifully received, very pleasant reception in a nicely decorated restaurant. As far as the meal is concerned, my daughter and I have simply enjoyed ourselves, the freshness of the products used and the taste of the dishes to the top... On and certain, next stay on Rouen we return there.

Very mixed in this notation. Want to put a 5 star for reception and service. However we unfortunately found the dishes a little fade. I'll do more for 3 stars taste level. Ideas are good just missing this sparkle of taste! Which makes a little expensive. However a big plus because everything is local.

Beautiful decor, lovely staff and very good dishes. Just a darling. But very good restaurant!
