Easy to find, just across the road from the entrance to Battle Abbey, so after our visit to the Abbey we visited here for a coffee. The staff are really friendly and welcoming, and the illy coffee was really very good indeed. View all feedback.

This unique coffee shop on Battle High Street is unlike any other. It has a club-like atmosphere and once you've met the owner, Tres, you won't soon forget it. I've encountered many fascinating locals and travelers while visiting, and it's truly a special place to have in town. With so much more to offer than just coffee, it's an independent gem not to be missed. Make sure to stop by soon.

Tres is known for serving the best coffee in Battle, East Sussex, and possibly even all of the UK. The staff always greet visitors warmly, and the coffee is consistently excellent.

I've visited Number Eighty as a regular since the ease of the pandemic, with classes and work stacking up again, it was the closest coffee shop to my commute. And wow, am I lucky it is! This isn't your typical coffee shop; in fact, it's almost simpler than the usual you'd find on a high street. But that is entirely a positive. At the time of writing, the menu is a wonderful ensemble of coffee, spanning from pure black to lattes and even mochas. There's even some sneaky chai lattes (my personal favourite . There's options for different milks, and the shop is very considerate and open to all diets or requirements, with additional options like syrups too (try the vanilla! . There's often some lovely pastries on the counter too. This is very much suited for takeaway, however there's some lovely seating within with great views of the abbey outside the window. I've tried more coffee shops in the Battle/Hastings area than I can count, but Number Eighty is by far the best. It's welcoming to all, even dogs, and always has a lovely atmosphere thanks to the owner and the other baristas. If you're in Battle, pop by!

Popped in for a morning coffee. Great if you are after a drink. It is quite a small coffee shop with seating for around 10 people but is well presented and the staff very friendly.
